The tiger, whose scientific name is Panthera tigris, is a carnivorous animal and prefers prey weighing around twenty kilograms. These big cats mostly hunt alone. Exceptionally good swimmers, tigers also enjoy water. They are effective communicators, marking their territory and expressing themselves with various roars, grunts, and hisses.
Displaying an impressive stature, this feline can measure up to 3.3 meters and weigh nearly 304 kg! Expecting a good 20 to 26 years in its natural habitat, the tiger is a survivor.
